Premier Regional Business Awards 2002 - 07 Oct 2010
Hurlcon have been recognized within the region by being awarded the major prize at the Premier Regional Business Awards Night conducted by the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce. The awards are designed to profile and highlight successful businesses in the region.
In accepting the Award, Hurlcon's Managing Director Peter Wallace, acknowledged all Hurlcon staff, particularly the staff who have shown the dedication to stay with the company through all of our difficulties and successes.
" It is not often that a business or the staff involved receive a compliment and this is one of the best compliments that any company could receive - not only to be independently nominated for the award but then to win the award amongst such high quality and successful companies.
The Greater Dandenong area is Victoria's largest commercial and industrial center and all of the fifteen nominees were eligible to win the major award. Given the size and professionalism of the other nominees we were very surprised and excited to win the award."
Categories awarded on the night included:

Fifteen companies were nominated during 2002/03 for various categories with Hurlcon nominated for the Export, Innovation, and Employment Awards. The other nominees were extremely impressive businesses - with annual sales ranging from 1.5m to over $300 million.<?xml:namespace prefix = o />
Hurlcon missed out on our category nominations with Castricum Brothers, a huge meat processor that sell 95% of the $130m annual sales overseas to the U.S. and Japan winning the Export Award, Ultimate Products, a leading edge fertilizer manufacturer winning the Innovation Award and a company manufacturing and supplying banners and flags to the Olympics and nearly every major sporting event won the Employment Award.
At the end of the night, Hurlcon were awarded the major prize - "The Premier Regional Business Award" This award recognized the company that was seen to be the leader in the region across all award categories.
